It is while the server is in it's temporary home while Xac gets his broadband sorted in his new house.
Should be back to normal soon.

Re: FORUM.....Horrid slow
Nope, it is horrendously slow Xac.
Tried it on several computers and different browsers, rebooted the router, cleared all caches etc.
No other sites affected.

Page load is still slowXac wrote:Just done a reboot, any better?
Once loaded page scroll is OK but still "hesitant", (normal 4me is smooth)
edit....12 secs to post new message and return to page...

Re: FORUM.....Horrid slow
It is a little slow loading compared to how it was but given the explainations above guess we should all just wait and see how things turn out.

Don't forget if you let it auto move to the next page there is a built in delay.
By clicking on the link rather than waiting it takes me 4-5 seconds

Re: FORUM.....Horrid slow
Still very slow and has timed out a couple of times - once when deleting a redundant thread, although that is always a very slow process anyway.

Re: FORUM.....Horrid slow
Strange then - it is taking around 20" minimum to reload each page.
I did have to reboot the router about forty minutes ago, dropped the connection while I was watching a film.
Between pages here, I'm reading a full page on The Indy while the FCF reloads.

* Puts on tech hat *
I tried a tracert too but gave up at 26 hops ( ! ) ...
Random: Xac, are you using something like a dynamic DNS service (if you have a dynamic home IP which is reasonably likely I would guess) so its always found correctly ? I wonder if the issue is there as it does load but it seems to take a while at the beginning or end of the request in a browser.
Code: Select all
Pinging frenchcarforum.co.uk [*.*.*.*] with 32 bytes of data:
