Ripped off fuel under tray

Unread post by Taffyrhys »

Hi All

I have a xantia 2.0 hdi estate S2 that i was reversing into the drive but the fuel line under tray that is attached to the subframe came detached and was hanging down. As you can imagine as i reversed it snagged on the floor and ripped off completly breaking the alluminum pipe and connectors from the plastic pipe at either end.The diesel draining onto the driveway as i just filled up with £50

I managed to plugg the fuel line but the section of metal pipe which is looped, looks like its for cooling purposes with the push fit connectos at either end that connect onto the plastic pipes from the fuel pump(rear) and engine end (front)

It to late do anything tonight but was wondering if i could just fit another section of plastic pipe in its place? with some connectors? Is there any preference of pipe and how best to connect them.

All the help greatly appriciated
