Xantia heated seats

i have a xantia with electric seats and the passenger side works fine but the drivers side doesnt any ideas

Sounds like a broken heater element. This is just a wire that zig zags round the seat just under the outer cover. They tend to break in the most obvious place-----under drivers bum. Its quite a simple job to fix with a bit of wire and solder if you fancy taking the seat apart. It is usually apparent where its blown as the foam will be blackened at that point.
