You disconnect the "other" end of the EGR assembly towards the passenger side. 2 bolts. Slip the blanking plate in there, tighten up again

Be warned that if it's a Siemens injection engine (it'll say on the fuel rail or pump) it's likely to get annoyed if you do this, throw up an engine light and go into limp home mode.

When it stops lashing down, I'll take a picture of where it goes on the Berlingo with the same engine and post a link to it..

many thanks mike , the weather is stinking!
seems we need a new radiator, as it does not seem to be leaking but has corroded lots , also found a few fuses missing in the fuse box under the bonnet, now i have a new warning light code for the tempreture control , so looking for a new radiator, thermostat etc.....
need to do an earth mod i believe off the maf sensor awaiting on multimeter ,
replaced maf sensor and it seems to be working now via android app torque

It is not unusual to have a few 'missing' fuses. These would either be for equipment in a car with higher spec, or, as some parts (such as fuse boxes) are used in different models of vehicle, for equipment not fitted to a given model.
