307 hdi cooling fan

Post by johntom »

Hi
Our 2005 307 1.6 hdi had an issue with the cooling fan running on full speed after switch off. In November the dpf split and fell down in the undertray leaving my other half stranded on the side on the road (see post 1.6 hdi dpf replacement). I replaced the Dpf with a new one, reset the counters and all has been well until today. After a 15 mile motorway journey the cooling fan has started to run on after switch off, help again !!

Its the glow plugs, they're instrumental to a regen.

Replace the plugs and then remove and clean the terminals on the glow plug relay.
