picasso diesel 1997cc engine change

hi,could anyone help me out with any problems i will face swaping a picasso engine, willi have to change imoboliser or hp pump or ecu or is it just a straight swap over many thanks in advance cheers

forgot to say doner car is 2002 1997 diesel and my car is 2003 1997 diesel

If both engines are the same type with the same injection system i.e. both Bosch or both Siemens you will have no problems just change the engines complete with the full kit attached. There is no need to swap pumps or ECUs or anything else. If the injection systems are different it is best to stay with the one originally fitted to your car. You will need to swap the pump, the complete rail, the pipework and the injectors. Changing the ECU to match the injection system on the replacement engine poses several challenges but can be done.
