picked up my Exclusive Estate 2 liter hdi

Post by jacksun1987 »

Picks up Bryan s hdi Exclusive Estate.
Very nice just need to get my seat sorted get in the comfort zone.
Theres 1 or 2 things what need sorting on it.

When the fans on full blast the warning lights come on. Is this a dogy electrical problerm. What not worth worrying about. Or does the coolant need changing ?
Is it easy to get a new rear arms bearings bryan said it might be. Or they might just need greeceing
has anyone got rear door trim (external) on the drivers side in green Or maybe get spray paint on a black one
would this fit my boot ?

Hi Bud, if its like mine there should be two buttons, one each side of the sports one, they are for your suspension settings, up and down

It switches off the internal movement sensors for the alarm. You'd use it, for example, if you wanted to lock the doors with a dog in the car so it didn't set the alarm off when it moved around. It resets every time you switch the car on.

Do you mean when the interior heating fan is on full or the engine coolant fan is on full?

That is a hatchback parcel tray. You need the one which looks a bit like a roller blind.

As Mike says or perhaps it disables the rear windows from use by the rear passengers.

nope its when the heating on full the stop light comes on. Found out when i put the face air vents on. Doesnt seem to do anything. But when i put the dimisters on. The stop light comes on lol

french electrics i think. Think the button for the lumber support as stopped working. Ohhh no no lumber support what shall i :( do lolollol

Changed the oil in it yeasturday. And bled the fuel pump. The turbo kicks in so much sooner. Well it seems i can hear it better the before.
It goes like a rocket. I like it on the sports mode its superb. :)

Theres one thing we found out. The reason why the hand break lever. Is high. Is because the break cable has snapped. On the passengers side. And there is a quite a lot of play in the ball joint .

Still cant hear this arm bearing thing creaking though. I think the only time i thought i noticed it. Is when im reversing and turning slow.

I shall tell you EXACTLEY what the warning light is Paul.....

When you are on demist the Air Con is automatically activated weither the main dash switch is on or not!! Its a feature to assit windscreen demist as air con is also a de Humidifier..

Anyway, the warning light is telling you the COOLING FANS are not working!! Honest! I bet you they aint working.

That will be cooling fan plastic cover off and between the fans theres a small triangular box, in there is three relays, Id be betting one of the pins on one of the three relays is corroded...

Buttons on the right, Hydractive suspension, Alarm Ultra sensors cancel (Loud speaker diagram with a cross on it), Rear window switch's for electric windows Disable (thats the one with two arrows pointing up and down with a cross on it)

What year is your exclusive. I have an 06 and there seems to be no buutton for sports suspension just the same two button jobbo as my 02 lx. Did this come in later or was it an optional extra?
C'est pas possible!

With the C5 the hydractive+ was a feature depending on engine and not spec, unlike the Xantia.

You need a 2.2HDi C5I or C5II or a 2.0 and over petrol. Unfortunately.

Yes.

Don't use a car wash machine. The brushes do horrid things to the paint.
