Mk1 C5 heated seats
Niether of them get even warm, fuses are ok. Is there a common relay for them? I've had alook at the BOL wiring diagrams but nothing there about seat wiring. I'm assuming that as niether of them work it must be something common to them both.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Have you checked the Max-fuse under the underbonnet fusebox?

Re: Mk1 C5 heated seats
Are the two fuses present in the glovebox fusebox too. Four all told, one for each seat heater and one for the motors in each seat.

All fuses present and correct in glovebox. Haven't checked Maxi fuse though. Seat motors work fine. Which Maxi fuse should I be checking?

IIRC it is the centre one, IIRC it is 80A. Will check that. It is intact if the motors work though.
Ed:
One of the two 80A fuses. I am sure I fitted only one, the other being present, I bought two, one as a spare in case I destroyed it while fitting the seats.
May be worth checking that both are intact in that case.

Re: Mk1 C5 heated seats
I have just had mine out - bought a new 40A fuse as I was under the impression that this was the value for the radiator fan.
I should have one here as I bought a spare when fitting the electric seats but couldn't find it, wanted one on hand before disconnecting the battery.
I have no idea which does what unfortunately.
While the battery was disconnected checked every fuse in the car as the front fag lighter socket died a few weeks ago (load of small screws fell into it.
All fuses were intact and now the glovebox light works again but fag lighter still dead.
Lost the actual fag lighter years ago and only use it for the satnav and USB phone charger/temperature and voltage display.
