Hi Everyone
Continuing my saga with burnt out heater connectors....I've located the melted connectors and replaced the filthy pollen filter with a new one but now I want to remove the fan itself so I can clean and lubricate it. What's the best way to access it?
I've removed the glovebox for more space, what next?
Thanks in advance
Tully

Re: C5 blower burn-out part 2
If I am not wrong the blower motor removal is a dashboard job I hope there is an easier way.
Motor is located in the upper section of the air conditioning unit. In ph2 models it is same as in 407 models.
While changing the pollen filter in mine I was able to see blower motor above the filter.
It is rather crowded up there and I was thinking myself if it was possible to pull it out from the gap

Hi VertVega
Thanks for the info. I certainly don't want to dismantle the whole dashboard
I can see the fan but it's such a tight fit I don't know if I can get close.
All I can think of now is just soak the lot in water dispersant spray and re-assemble it

Re: C5 blower burn-out part 2
As far as I know the heater module is same for both LHD and RHD models.
I guess your car is a RHD. Is the pollen filter on the left side (so passenger side in RHD)?
If yes then in that case you might reach it by removing the glove box. You would have
more working space after removing glove box. In mine (LHD) there is steering column
which brings a different challenge.
This was a bit surprising that there were no forum members who did this job

Re: C5 blower burn-out part 2
I've re-assembled it now because my girlfriend needs to use it for work.
I'll go to plan B later.
Thanks
