fitting a towbar on C4 VTS 2005

Has anyone fitted a towbar to one of the above, all the ones I look at say won't fit the 180bhp model :-(
any explanation or solution please?

I would think it's probably due to the exhaust, the back box is different from the rest of the c4 range and probably covers up the mounting points for a towbar. I think the vts wouldnt make a good tow car, not enough torque, and far too peaky. I have towed caravans and trailers for many years, and wouldnt even consider towing with me vts.

As Davie says, it's the exhaust in the way. You can get bars that fit, plenty of info about it on C4 owners forum-have a look here...

Ok thanks gentlemen, seems like there will be a solution. Mainly for a bike rack and occasional pulling of a very tiny eriba puck. Off to look at the C4 forum, only just bought it :)

I have just made a deal to exchange my 2007 one, I'm gutted really but needs must :cry:
