ZX Coolant

Hi, I can not remember how many litres of coolant my ZX , 1995 D , holds, just about to change coolant, any help greatfully received, cheers Terry. :oops:

I seem to have got away with 3 litres of coolant and top up with water for many years.
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.

on most citroens i use the 3lt of antifreeze and the balance of water, i think its quite a common rule of thumb,

as they recon these days in the UK the coolant should be mixed 50 50

At the dealership it tended to be 3litres for petrol and 4litres for diesel units. That's just what parts handed out when you went to collect your service items, filters etc. Was always that way as far as I remember.

To be honest 3 is probably sufficient in most cases anyway (famous last words!) I think if you flush out all the old properly etc.
