Can you hear the suspension pump motor when you unlock the car and open a door?
If not then it is most likely the motor at fault. Possibly a blown fuse but there will be a reason for that.
Depending on your climate and driving conditions then possibly corrosion in the motor wiring.

Take a look at these threads as they may well have the answer you seek:

I'm no expert on the suspension but here's a couple of pointers. Others will probably add to this too.
1. Does the hydraulic motor in the engine bay run when you unlock the car? It should put the suspension at normal height. If it's not running then check the fuses.
2. Has this just happened suddenly or has it sunk gradually over a period of time?
3. obvious question - but have you checked that your LDS is topped up and there are no major leaks?
4. Is your mechanic familiar with the C5 hydraulics? If not then you may need to seek help from someone else as well.
Good luck

LDS is the suspension/power steering fluid. If you read the threads I linked to there is a description of the LDS reservoir location and how to check the level.
Observe the need to keep the area clean when opening the reservoir cap - this is quite crucial.
Also don't go under the car unless it it securely supported with axle stands or ramps - hydraulic suspension can drop the car on you with no warning, people have been severely injured by ignoring this.

The motor not running does sound more like an electrical problem. First thing is to check the fuse, replace it if it has blown and try and find out why it has blown.
Again, this is covered in the linked threads.

They are under the LDS reservoir which is shown in the other thread that you posted in.
