Morning all
Has anyone any experience of removing/replacing this unit on a 405, which apparently regulates the cooling fans on air con models.
I have a fan issue with one of my 405s, and want to remove this Bitron sensor from another identical car which is being scrapped.
Trouble is I'm getting different stories about where it lives, Haynes say in the thermostat housing on the cylinder head, internet folk are saying under the n/s headlamp.
Where is it?!
Ta, Carl

Re: Peugeot 405 Bitron sensor
The sensor itself will be in the thermostat housing area.
The control box would be around the headlight.
At least as far as I remember.

Re: Peugeot 405 Bitron sensor
Thanks guys.
Found the control unit under the headlamp but buggered if I can find any additional sensor anywhere on the car, there's nothing with any contacts on or near the thermostat housing on my 2.0 petrol anyway.

Its usually a brown (I think) connector screwed into the housing, just looks like a normal temp sender.

Found them! They're actually round the back of the thermostat housing, and thus very difficult to see. Removing the battery and shield helps get to them.
