Thats an easy one IF its a HDi 110.... So.. Is she a HDi 110??

Check the intercooler pipe just before it goes into the inlet manifold. They split on the under side alawing the Measured Boost'd are to escape an so the ECU turns the fuel up, but the air has escaped so the result is black smoke..

Was it dark, and were you seeing it in the lights of following car - this can make even the 'cleanest' '1.9TD look like it is chucking huge clouds out!
