Rev counter playing up!!
My synergie 1.9 tdsx 1997, rev counter is fine till the engine revs get to 2000 and over, then it drops (needle) down to about 1200 and flickers, bring the engine back down to 2000 and the rev counter comes back up. The meter just doesnt seem to want to pass 2000, its as if its over whelemed and gives up.
I have: checked the TDC sensor 370 omhs/and changed for new one, checked the wireing and it seems ok (but it should as it works to 2000)
Checked the No.3 injector sensor, 110 ohms.
Has anybody had a similar problem? anybody got a wireing diagram from sensor to meter cluster? does it go via the ECU? or direct.
Any ideas on a test I can do? before I change the PC card on the back of the rev meter (last resort)
Sits in antisipation...Engine runs great no problems, just the rev counter meter is winding me up!!!!!
