Chaps, I am now the owner of my Dad's Xsara hatchback (he inherited a poxhall astra!) and there are naturally a few issues I want to work through, with your guidance I hope.
Main thing at the moment is a slightly sticky accelerator pedal - it doesn't move smoothly as I press it but instead goes in small jerks. Which naturally makes it a little difficult to drive smoothly. Any pointers as to what is likely to be causing this?
Cheers
Ainslie

Hi
More than likely itll be the cable frayed on the inside somwhere causing resistence
Change the cable out and shoukd be fine after that
Had quite a few like this/ snap! Useually at the worst possible moments ie over taking lol
Quite common and easy to change, new cable is around 10-15 from most motor factors
