HY Van Headlights

Unread post by jeanclawed »

I have a 1981 HY van whose headlights have lost their silvering

does anyone know where I can get new internals for the lights or whether the front of the light can be replaced with a modern sealed unit

One of my neighbours successfully bodged his headlamp reflectors for the MOT by lining them with the silver plastic stuff that teabags come in, tried first with baking foil but it wasn't reflective enough :)

You can do a "temp" repair with Mylar sheet
