Xantia Rear Height Adjuster Stuck Again.

Unread post by Six-cylinder »

Early this year our Xantia V6 Exclusive had a drooping back end, which was diagnosed as a seized rear height adjuster. I had this cleaned and greased but now 3 months latter it is playing up again. Is there likely to be a component that needs replacing or is it just a question of cleaning and greasing again?

Thanks Chris

was the height corrector cradle removed when it was freed off the last time, as the only way to fee these off long term is off the car,
then keep them greased

Id agree with Malcolm, they really DO need removing from the car and the levers REALLY working loose again, then greased up well to keep them loose.

It is possible to remove the cradle without disconnecting the height corrector pipes etc BUT care is needed to be sure the "Prongs" of the lever sit in the exact CORRECT place on the height corrector "Arm" when reassembling..
