Xantia Mk2 Alarm

Hi, Has the alarm on the Mark 2 xantia changed only as i owned a mark one and when the alarm was set off the horn siren and headlights were going off, but on my mark 2 forte just the siren and indicators go off. I'm thinking wiring or fuse/relay.


Can you get your alarm modifed to add the horn and flashing headlights

On my series 2 exclusive only the Siren and indicators go off if the alarm is tripped.

Series two Alarms are programmed to operate in a different way.. when you reconnect the battery there is NO NEED to panic about resetting the alarm to prevent the siren going off..

Indicators only flash when unlocking them and blink once when locking it...

The siren will sound IF:

You lock the car with the PLIP, but then unlock the car with the key in the lock and open the door.
If - obviously - a window is broken ...
Or if you lock the car and have a faulty ultra sonic sensor in the car... (Press and hold the alarm siren button till the red LED on the door stays on permeanetly) this cancels the sensors on the doors...
