No, faulty electro valve... is it a 90 or 110 model?
On the 110 theres two valves on the right side, next to the cambelt cover and drivers sphere.. One drives the EGR valve, the other the Turbo Wastegate..
If your overboosting then its sticking on closed wastegate and not letting go.. You'll need to replace the valve that controls the wastegate. Easy to tell, follow the vac pipe that goes down to the back of the engine..
The turbos on these default to OPEN wastegate for engine safty reasons, so when the engine starts the valve has to work to close the wastegate. But now and again they will stick and wont let go hence over boost.
