citroen C5

hello guys.
i would like to get some info about the citoen C5. im about to buy the 2012 model from a rental company here in israel, and ive been reading a lot about a kind of a big issue/ problem with electricity in the C5 models through the years.
can someone tell me more about it?

The C5 from 2008 is a VERY different car to the C5 from before it.. I Personally have not heard much about this model having much electrical issues..

But Im no expert on the newest model. There are a couple of owners on here with them who might be able to help further when they come along

I know that some people have had problems, but I have owned a 2.0hdi VTR+nav 160 for about 2 years. It has 20000 miles (32000 km) recorded when I bought it, now it has 45000 miles, 72000 km). I have had a standard service and bought new tyres. Apart from that, not one problem. It is a little awkward and big in the city, but brilliant for those days when you have many people and many miles to travel. 5 people, roof box, ski equipment, 700 miles in one day and everybody happy. I often have to travel 5 or 6 hours in a day to visit clients, great for that.

Enjoy it, try not to worry too much. There are probably more good ones than bad ones!

That's about £30 000 Much more like an Australian price for the C5.

The 1.6 petrol, as they offer, is not specially economical on fuel due to the car's weight. But - electricals - you most likely won't have the English problems of damp and corrosion to cause trouble. Maybe just the tyre pressure monitors!
