Leak!!!

Unread post by KennyW »

Hi Guys,

Just discovered a leak whilst fitting the rejuvenated Cat.

It s the water pipe from matrix to engine, item 11 on diagram at joint with 6

Does anyone have a photo or better diagram?

Done temporary repair but want to know rubber pipe size for fitment of new pipe. It is leaking from joint after total disintegration of metal securing clip.

Kenny, is there a metal pipe along here and it's gone where the rubber joins the metal?

Can you not cut the pipe back and re-join it?

If not you can get a special joiner from motor factors. You need one to suit an inside diameter of 19mm. I've used them loads of time to join heater matrix pipes.

JIm,

It would appear to have plastic joint which both rubber pipes fit onto. I think the metal on the hose was the adjustable clip which has disintegrated. I was thinking of removing pipe to have a better look. If so I would renew the antifreeze mix.
