Old bush off, now part 2!

Ok, so I have removed the old bush, was a pain but I did it. Now comes the task of fitting the new bush, its a very tight fit!! I have the wishbone in my freezer at the moment, hoping that the metal will shrink enough to fit the new bush. Does anyone have any advice on fitting the bush?

Likewise you may oven heat the bush to some 80-100 deg. C - to get even larger tolerance for fitting.

How long would I have to "cook" it for? Do cookin times differ for fan assisted ovens[;)] Oh, and would it stink the house out?

In addition to our mail conversation - if you have a fan assisted oven - use the fan to help even out the temperature on the part and heat it faster. Of course there'll be some smell - but should nowhere be similar to a "rubber factory" - just some odd smelling which has to be vented by normal means from the oven & the kitchen.
Personally I dislike a lot more the odeuors from any dishes with melted cheese in the oven [:D]

haven't you got this the wrong way round?
Heat expands - so heat the wishbone and cool the bush?

AFAIU Tris - the rubber bush has an internal steelring which has to pressfit over a stud on the wishbone.
I'm pretty sure Tris is sure not to reverse the process [;)]

All Done!!!
Ended up using a hair dryer to heat up the bush as the owner of the oven refused to let me use it in such an industrial manner. Took the wishbone out of its 1h30m chillin and they fitted together nicely with the encouragement of a hammer and piece of wood. Car is back together and feelind much tighter (well on one side anyway) and I can't wait, woo hoo, to do the other side.
