I've just sold my Xantia and bought a 2006 c5 est with 53k on clock.
The car is a pleasure to drive, but I'm so disappointed with the radio, I owned a c5 some years ago and the radio was good, perhaps it was because it was an exclusive!
Can anyone tell me if there is an after market kit , and is there an adapter plate available so I don't loose some of the control, heater trip etc?
If so what kit would recommend? Whats the best radio, and would I need to change speakers?
Its a pity the scrimped so much !
Dave.

Re: c5 radio
There's a problem with changing the head unit on the facelifted C5, the display functions, time, day date are changed by the buttons on the Citroen head unit. If you go aftermarket you lose the ability to change anything on the display. This means the time will be wrong 6 months of the year (liveable i guess), but if you suffer a flat battery you can't change anything back.
The original C5 has seperate buttons on the display to change them if need be.

Re: c5 radio
Depends what the fault is with the radio - IIRC these have an amplified aerial that is prone to going haywire, leading to loss of signal quality - this might worth pursuing first. Should be possible to fit a radio from a higher spec car though.
