Right sphere choice

Post by xantos »

Can someone help me pick the right sphere choice as I would like to buy the whole set of 10 spheres and I don't want to mess up. :roll:
Have a 2.0 TCT Activa; year 1998 (weight 1410kg).

This one is for 2.0HDI or 2.1TDI (weight of car 1435kg)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-SPHERE-NEU ... 25647b1bea" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This one is for 2.0 16V (weight of car 1300kg)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-SPHERE-NEU ... 256656e0ac" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This one is for 3.0 24V (weight of car 1451kg)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-SPHERE-NEU ... 25647b1f32" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As there is no 2.0TCT in the description I am a little puzzled which is the right choice for my car. Personally would pick the ones for 2.0 16V but the difference in weight of the car (2.0 16V and 2.0 TCT) is 110kg. The difference between 2.0 TCT and 3.0 24V is only 41kg and between 2.0 HDI and 2.0 TCT is only 25kg if that plays any part...

I found how much pressure and ccm should be in each sphere for my model, but the description in the add has only three digit number and I can't figure anything from those digits. Maybe someone else can...

I tried mailing the guy, but no response...

Don't all activas have the same spheres? I was checking this site and it seems they have...

Figured out from the IFHS sphere catalog that 2.0 TCT has the same spheres as 2.1 TDI or 2.0 HDI.

Maybe useful to someone...

His eBay shop says he is on holiday until the end of the month. He is French and it is August after all.

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between markings of spheres?

For example: XA 45 FK and XA 40 FT
XA is for Xantia and 45 (40) is the pressure, but what do the last letters mean?
