Indicator relay mod

Post by MPV »

The indicators on my Synergie have started tick ticking again recently. Some time ago I remember reading a mod you could do to the relay, change a resistor that would solve it once and for all. I've done a search, but I can't find the thread. Anyone know of it still? It was quite a few years ago.

When the XMs do this a good workout of the indicator switch usually cures it.

I wrote about the relay modification, but it must have been about 2005.

I wouldn't now recommend it, as the switch burned out a while later. Cleaning or replacing the switch is probably a better idea.

I am way behind the times here, but my indicator stalk in the synergie was ticking mentally, then it shorted and melted itself....

I fitted a replacement from a peugeot 406 and noticed it was from a different manufacturer.... hopefully this one will hold out... If not, it was only a £5r and only needs 4 screws taking out to access and remove the stalk!... Picked up a picasso gearknob in the scrappies at then same time... £5 to replace the crumbled synergie mess... Now I has Chromes =)
