Roof Rack Fixing - Xantia Hatch

Info request from you good chaps and chapesses.
I'm about to fit roof bars to a Xantia hatch for the first time. It is the type with "pegs" that screw into the location holes above the doors. From a quick look at the car there appears to be 2 blanking plugs in each potential location. Which ones should I be using, the front ones or the back ones.

With the citroen make roof bars you use both holes,thats 8 in all

I've got a halfords set of bars, you use the rear holes.
