Its SAD to do it actually, I never really got to use the car for more then 6 months. Its NOT been an easy descision. I was going to do it, then I was going to repair, then not then was. But in reality the Rot is quite bad in places, and then rust on the parts, for example today the Caliper Nut (13mm) for pad swapping is completely Rusted solid in place, I had to remove the whole caliper off the disk closed.. not looked at the passenger side.

Exhaust has seen better days around the Cat.. rear subframe a little rusty, also the strut feed pipes at the rear.

Im not keeping a Lot Mark, NOT got a lot of space left, far to many Xantias in the shed and no organiseation. Still got TWO MORE to do, An S1 TD SX, and a S2 HDi.. but theres no rush for them...

I've got a few bits for the Zx which I have been collecting since I got it for if the inevitable happens . I did consider a Zx16v a while ago for parts but I don't think the wife would see it that way .

I find myself VERY lucky to have the Farm area where I used to live still to my disposal, with space for 5 cars...

All my sheds are full, and theres a dedicated XM parts shed which is full...

Is that sugarfree Pepsi in the can?

I love these pictorial teardowns.

What are the diameters of the inlet and outlet of the cat? 2½" or 2¼"?

I have no idea adam but its not in perfect order.. ive already turned one ask for the cat simple by the following.

I put a hdi genuine catalyst on ebay.. it got me 120 quid.. if this is a genuine cat which i think it is then i would like to hope it will do better then the diesel one.. its not that good. We shall see when i get it off..

No, I want to buy myself a new cat of another brand - but keen to know what sizes PSA were using on their inlet and exhaust tubes to the original, and compare it with the PRV one I have.

Could I persuade you to measure it with the calipers?
