Re-Gassing Citroen Xantia 1996

Can anyone tell me how to find out which one I have please ?

This is the message I received:

mike, aircon regass is £49.00, if its r134a gas. If your car is r12 gas we can not regass it.

Almost certainly 134A. R12 charge ports are noticeably smaller.

They probably ask because R12 was banned by the Montreal protocol in 1996 so would have swiftly switched to 134a soon after. I have a feeling though that R12 had been dropped by the EU some time before.

It is R134a.

XU engine quoted charge is 875 grammes.
XUD and DW except 2,1TD 825 grammes.
2,1TD 850 grammes.

No Xantias used R12.
