Rare Migrant?
Stopped, unloading the VSX, and round the corner on the other side comes another one (well, a shinier S1 estate in Mauritius blue with alloys) on French plates. The lady in the passenger seat look surprised when I waved. Nothing uncommon about seeing another S1 Xantia in France of course (though mostly 'sedans'). What she probably hadn't noticed was the first one that they'd passed parked ¼ mile before!

Re: Rare Migrant?
Do xantia drivers wave at each other other in the UK then? That's lovely, like being in a club. Random car drivers wave at me but I think they mistake my car for the local police man's car!

XM drivers do but they don't get much practice at waving though... I tend to wave up to fellow Xantia owners... They're getting rare enough here now that the likelihood is that the owner is a bit keen on them..Jaf wrote:Do xantia drivers wave at each other other in the UK then? Not that I've noticed...Jaf wrote:Do xantia drivers wave at each other other in the UK then?
It used to be common for Citroen drivers to wave or flash at each other in New Zealand up until the mid 90's (partly because they were so rare there at the time) but by the 2000's that had stopped as they became more common and non-enthusiasts started buying them...

Re: Rare Migrant?
I usually do if it's another S1 and I notice in time, but I often get a look of surprise (Who are you?) in return - so I continue to do it out of sheer perversity.Jaf wrote:Do xantia drivers wave at each other other in the UK then?
