hi , thanks for the add.
I am considering buying a citroen c4 picasso 1.6hdi vtr+ egs on an 07 plate, the guy selling it says its been to france by previous owners , i have done hpi check and it says not been permanently exported , so can only assume it been for short spells for holidays etc, on the vosa web site though there are 2 mots that are missing. I am trying to find out why it isnt registered as having mots for the 2 years, i have been told in france the mots are only every 2 years , so could it have been moted in france.
any ideas would be helpful, cheers andy

French "Controle Technique" is indeed every two years. if its spent time in France then i'd be looking for obvious signs of lights being changed etc. People often change headlamp units and sell the old r/h lights on to recoup some of the cost. When the vehicle comes back to the UK they move it on without changing back to r/h headlamps. Check the lights illuminate the near side of the road and not the off side, you could be in for a big outlay to change back to legal light units.
