C5 3.0 V6 engine issue

Phase One, Y reg, she's been driving fine, has 86,000 on the clock, then came up "Anti pollution system inoperative", then changed to the "Anti pollution system faulty" today, car gone very shakey when put into gear, and sounds like she is miss firing. She had coils changed 40,000 miles ago due to engine misfire according to service history, are these the symptoms?

I have heard of coilpacks failing on that motor, they short internally and can toast the ECU too, the unburnt fuel then sets off the pollution problem. dont drive too fr before getting it looked at.

Get it put onto a Lexia ASAP for a diagnostic session. The ECU for the ES9J4S is quite sophisticated and includes misfire detection, so if its misfiring it will tell you and should identify which cylinder(s) as well.

If there is a dead miss on one or more cylinders due to a missing spark you run a very high risk of melting and destroying one or more of the catalytic converters, so don't drive it any distance like this as the consequences could be very expensive.
