help needed citroen c5 2.2 hdi

i have a split in the high pressure suspension pipe and have been quoted £600+ for the repair
can you just join another part on like a brake pipe? is it easy enough to do yourself or is it time to get rid?

Plaides in East Anglia used to supply the pipe, fittings and flaring tool don't know if they still do, that's the cheapest way of doing it but I can't think that a made to measure new pipe would cost anything like that. What diameter pipe is it?

i dont know im not mechanicly minded all i know is he said it goes from the front to the back
