I recently replaced one of the ACAV Vacuum units on my ZX 16V one that appears to be made of the same material they use to make KIT-KAT's. I had to prise the ball-end off the throttle attachement to lubricate it,(it was sticking) and ping, it snapped right across the threads at the bottom, not even enough length to re-attach it!!!! Would have just put it down to experience, £35 of experience, but I remebered that the same thing had happened to the one I found on the car when I bought it. Snapped in the identical place as the other had. But the previous owner had just left it.
Has the fine thread been manufactured too fine?? Is this a widespread thing? Any other, " It just came off in me hand, Guv " experiences with Citroen parts?
Oh and one of my Coils has started to play up, only when the car/engine gets really warm. But it now runs like a Ford...you know, slow, noisy, guttless....
*&%$ing French build quality!!
