Self catering/B&Bs in the Lakes and Yorkshire.

Me and three friends are planning one going up to the Lakes and Yorkshire for a few days during August, maybe a couple of days in each. Ideally we'd want some kind of self catering setup but B&Bs would be okay. Any recommendations?

PeterN, you don't happen to have a B&B franchise do you
