It is just a filter, all generic EFI engines must have the same requirements, they are just about all using the same components, the inlet/outlet pipes are different sizes so that numpties dont fit them the wrong way round, measure the inlet / outlet diameters and talk to your local motorfactors, there might be a significant saving if it were to become an honorary Vectra :)

Its not the same as the 206/306/406 one then if its that long, they are about 3 or 4 inches typically and if I remember correctly a genuine one is around £10. Probably will not fit your car though. Usually plastic on 206 (metal ones on these were replaced under recall did loads) metal on other models, two types: different end fittings for click fit connectors or standard hose clips.

On those it should be changed at each larger service ie every 40K or 4 years if that's any help. That kind of time interval does seem sensible anyway.
Andy.

I dont recall there being any fuel pressure with the ignition off, be prepared to deal with the filter having fuel leaking out of either end, and if your tank was brim full theres the possibility of fuel coming out of the delivery line, dont linger and all should be well.

There will be some petrol pressure as the fuel lines will remain pressurised a little bit for a while (watch your eyes) the pressure may be 1 or 2 bar just a "splush" as it releases.

Best to leave ignition off for say 10 minutes before trying it although have a container handy (filter will be full of fuel)

The fittings on the filters themselves are different for quick release vs jubilee clips types, basically the 'ridge' on the stubs should be on the outer edge for a jubilee clip (so the clips cannot move past the ridge if you pulled on the pipe) on the quick release the ridge is on the inner edge (so the connectors can grab them)

It will make sense when you see the filter, hopefully my description does too.

Pic I made from two others to illustrate, probably will be obvious though:

The arrow indicates direction of flow. The fuel line is easy to follow from the outlet end to the motor. The inlet end disappears up above the tank. Your mystery screw is a T20 with free added road salt.

May have to carefully chop a slot in that screw if it will not come out and undo it. Be aware of any sparks in the area obviously.

A safer way although expensive would be to cut the plastic then you'll be able to get grips on the screw after, you'd need a new filter holder plastic after though (I don't think cable ties will secure on that model)

I would suggest a daily dose of Plus Gas, for about a week, might well help get the bolt to loosen off. That, and a wire brush to shift the crud.

While you are under there it is a good idea to replace those jubilee clips with some proper EFI hose clips, down in those small sizes jubilee clips are decidedly D shaped.
