Hi all
I'm planning to salvage the two remote plip keys and remote receiver unit from the roof from a scrapped Peugeot 405; if I fit the receiver unit into my 405 (which only ever had one key), and put my blade into the other plip will it all work? Both the cars have the keypad immobiliser, and as far as I'm aware no key-based immobiliser system as the remote just locks the doors and sets the alarm. Thought it would be an inexpensive way of getting two keys for my car!
Many thanks

Re: 405 remote keys
As long as you match the key circuit board and the roof receiver circuit board it should work. These are paired you cannot 'code' a replacement one in from another car. When ordering you normally have to give the number from the roof unit to order a replacement key to match.
106's are the same (early ones) if its any help I think. Single button.
