Lexia authorisation code help please?

Post by Northern_Mike »

Well, I was going to disable cruise control and remove the stalk, to see if my fiddlings with that had had any effect on the airbag and horn. I found it in the BSI, but when I went to save the settings, Lexia asked me for a 4 digit code to authorise writing to the BSI.

I do not know this code. I know it exists because DickieG used it when we installed cruise. I'm sure somewhere there is a list, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Does anyone have a list of which codes are for which vehicle? It's an M59 2004 plate Berlingo 2.0HDi Multispace.

Help gratefully received!

It's not the key code as far as I'm aware. We certainly didn't use the key code last time we did it as I didn't have the key code then. There was a list of different codes to use with it for each vehicle which DickieG had. I'm sure it's somewhere on the web..

So this code is, err, security through obscurity ? ;)

Why block it with a code at all if you still need Lexia hardware to use it, the code is the same for all cars, and it seems to be widely known...

It's a Citroen thing. Do you expect anything sensible? :o

I remember reading about this, it was supposed to be selected people (or person) at the dealership that would have the code, so the front monkeys didnt go in and mess stuff up and would have to go and get one of those ("specially trained") folk to do the change.

Citroen in their brilliance didnt have the password masked (if I recall) so people easily found out the code, and after then it was pretty much useless
