As per title, I hear there can be issues when connecting the steering wheel controls up unless you have the right adaptor/head unit. Will a unit from a Saxo or similar fit?

Depending on which head unit your car has, you may be able to fit a matching CD changer, with no adapter required. I think you car may have a Philips head, I am not sure if they were all CD-ready.

I bought a pioneer head unit with mp3 and line in, with the correct adaptor cable for 75 quid on ebay. Good seller too. I'll see if I can find his details. Was a dealer who sells refurb/returned stuff. No probs nearly 2 years later

Halfords also sell the autoleads cable required to connect the steering wheel controls. Can't remember if it was 25 or 45 quid, and it was special order in but it did the trick!
