*URGENT* C5 stuck on bump stops ?

hello, went to drive home from work, rear of car raised but front was slow or didnt. drove down ramp out of carpark with a left turn at same time the dash board lit up suspension fault dont go above 55 ( although it let me ) to get home. checked fuses, disconected battery for a bit, checked brakes.
now not saying faulty when i try and make the suspension go up by button at standstill, on the screen indicates it is going up.
but it isnt ?
how do i check fluid level ?
all help apreciated - cant drive it sitting this low and i work 25mile away !

faceing the engine bay remove lefthand cover to reveal hydraulic fluid tank remove cap slight pressure in tank with suspension on low fluid shoul be about half way up the window in the tank

Excuse my ignorance, but it always surprises me when someone comes up with the answer without knowing what C5 year/spec it is. Are they all exactly the same suspension wise?

They are all the same really. Just some have two less spheres and some have a beige almost see through tank, some black.

very sorry for not stating, 54 plate facelift non sport button suspension 2.0hdi saloon

checked sensors under car seem fine

cant see into resevior to check fluid there is that crud catcher type cup sitting in the fill hole, if the fluid was touching that or above i would be able to see it but i cannot see any fluid atall - tried shinning bright torch to see through beige tank but that didnt work.

im guessing with the suspension on the bumps there should be a shed load of fluid in the resevior yes ?

Ah, OK. So the tanks are always in the same place. Will mine have the extra spheres? I must have a look at mine and see if the level is OK.

If you have a sport button between your suspension up and down buttons then yes you have hydractive 3+ and i believe 6 spheres rather than hydractive 3 with only 4.

Yep, sport mode is there. (and boy does it make a difference) Cheers.

It should appear in what I think you refer to as the crud catcher. The thing inside the filler hole that looks like it had vents.
Fluid is Total LDS and is orange.

moosehaver, just out to get some lds now - hoping ive got a little leak somewhere and topping up might get things moving ill report back.

-why could the c5 2.2 hdi auto 57 not be fixed by citroen ? !

There is a thread on here somewhere.
It had some faults that caused loss of power steering, directional headlamps and esp faults. And a Dealer could not fix it, or a tech sent from Citroen HQ, it's been almost 12 months and the car is still at the Dealers.
Last I heard was Citroen were still going to help, bit the garage I bought it from and got a refund off have not had anyone contact.

sounds like a rogue friday afternoon problem.........

ive topped up the resevior with lds, it is now visible and all good in that department.
the car sits on the bump stops
press the buttons to adjust suspension the navi screen says it going to move and gives the relevant speed limit but nothings actually happening and the computer is not even throwing a code to say its not working ( like it was before )

what do i do now ?

Does pump whir?
I think there are posts on pumps blowing maxi fuse under bonnet or burning our wires.
