aftermarket wheels bolts

Post by Welshy_Pete »

I need some aftermarket wheels bolts and locking wheels nuts. I've got the alloy wheels with 20mm spacers so thats why I wanted the right alloy wheel bolts. I've seen some with the details below.

These bolts have the following dimensions:

Head Size - 19mm Hex
Thread Length - 26mm
Thread Pitch - 1.25mm
Bolt Diameter - M12
Bolt Seat - 60deg Taper

You need to first work out if you require flat or tapered wheel bolts.

Then measure with a pencil or similar, how deep the holes through the wheel are. Now add 20mm for the spacer. Finally, add another 15-20mm for the hub.

I`ve experienced horror stories regarding non standard wheels/spacers/bolts,its very important that everything is spot on and SAFE!!
Take the car and a wheel to an experienced ally wheel specialist (not Kwick Fit Types)for advice and he will sell you the correct fitting kit.
It comes in handy and is very reassuring knowing that yours wheels are secure and safe when in the fast lane at 80mph +

I have some used but good gen locking bolts although they are in the 'wrong' box, ie the part number on the box (if its still there) is not the type of bolts. I'll see if I can find a pic of them. Something tells me they are for certain 206 model wheels only though.

You don't have to go Kwik Fit, I'd recommend an independent specialist garage. Always cheaper
