C5 Fitting Connect2

Post by Dircon »

Hello,

2001, C5 Exclusive SE V6 Auto.

I have just purchased a Connect2, which will give me an Aux Input instead of my CD Multi-Changer.

What I would like some more advice with is : Where should my new Aux Lead emerge from the Console?

I would like to have it emerge into the rear of the Ashtray which is positioned beneath the Climate Controls.

Does anyone know if the Aux Lead would have a path between the back of the Radio and the back of the Ashtray?

If this is possible, the Lead could then live, coiled up, inside the closed Ashtray when not in use.

I want to have a go at this scary task soon so, as usual, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Paul

Seriously been considering getting one of the iPod one as I have a nano 6th gen just sitting around... and having the 8 year old daughter wanting me to do channel hopping to find music is getting a bit irritating.
Hopefully with the iPod one I'm able to just stash it in the glovebox and forget about it for the most part (with the cable poking through the vent in the glove box).

Would be interesting to hear how it goes for both you guys with the aux one. :)

I'm not too well at the moment.

When I finally have an attempt at this, I'll let you know how it goes.
