Hi I 'm Nev, and I'm proud to say that I have never owned a Japanese car. Never owned an automatic either.
My introduction to European cars was via my brother who served his apprenticeship on Renault and Peugeot.
Whilst my first car was actually a 37 Chev, my first practical vehicle (affordable running) was a Renault Dauphine. Followed this with a Renault R10, an R8, Citroen GSA, BX16 TRS, BX19 TRI (13c years from new).
Currently running an '89 AX11 TRE (12 years now) and very recently a 2001 Xsara 2.0 HDI.
Very happy to have found this site, lots of good advice from like minded individuals.

Welcome aboard, Legbiter. I think you should be prepared for some serious envy on your car history!
