Glow Plugs
What is the general opinion of the forum on the best glow plugs for a citroen xantia td estate 1996 the ones I have at present are ngk and have only lasted about a year.Difficult to start and large puff of smoke when it does start so I presume it is the plugs.Any advice would be gratefully received.[:)]

Beru GN 013 is the plug you want or if you come by any old stock somewhere Beru GN 909.
Get them from http://www.gsfcarparts.com
Bosch plugs are also very good but I can't give you a model number for them.

Don't bother with NGK Y-923U's in an XUD. I put a set in mine last week and I've seen 1970's tractors start better than it did with them in. It started distinctly worse than with the 7 year old Lucas plugs that I took out.
I then tried Beru (after a lot of messing) from GSF and it starts like a newun.
If you're changing them yourself, be very careful when doing the one behind the fuel pump that you don't knock the coolant pipe going into the head down there. As I found, it will break off very easily if knocked with a spanner. Its also a right pain in the backside to change.
