Immobiliser Removal Tool

Post by DHallworth »

Anyone any experience of these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KeyPad-Immobi ... 33809abaaf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I need to unlock a Bosch MP7.0 ECU for my Activa V6 conversion, if this can do it then it's certainly cheap enough at that price.

Also, what's the latest version of the lexia software? I'm running V45 and was wondering if there was any benefit to upgrading?

Thanks

David.

Looks useful, for £20 worth a shot I would say.

Like hardware tools you need purchase XPROG programmer and any serial EEPROM programmer (we recommend ELNEC SEEPROG programmer).
For the sake of just one car I'd flip it to one of the unlockers - should be sorted for a fifty.

Double it and add VAT at 20% and it's closer to the right fee these days!

The Saxo blokes seem to pay £50-ish.

Across a few marques, "Chip Wizard" seems to get a good rap. He's not close by though.

Although if you want to DIY can the EEPROM not be read with freeware and the code then entered via keypad? I presume the Chinese tool just bombards the ECU with combinations until it gets one that works...

Also there's this bloke: http://106owners.co.uk/forums/showthrea ... Unlocking-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;£50-Fast-and-prompt-service

Addo, thanks for the link, I've had a look through it and apparently he can't do Bosch ECU's and the 406 ECU is a Bosch one unfortunately.

There's a guy called ECU Doctor and a couple of others who can do it. This guy is one of the few who gives his prices online:

If you are ok with desoldeing, reading & resoldering eproms & have the gear to do it then this has to be worth £20. If you dont have the gear or ability & its for a one off then give it to someone else.
Have you tried http://www.dashfixer.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in Hillington ? dont know if he can do it or not but he seems to be into that sort of thing, remapping etc. Got to be worth a phone call.

I'm worried that the ebay ad seems to be written in broken English... Not a good sign in my book and It makes it hard for me to interpret exactly what he's offering for £20...

I'm exactly the same Jim.

I'll give dash fixer a call tomorrow and see if he can help out.

Soldering an unsoldering isn't a problem, I've got a spare ECU to give it a go on first but I'd need to buy an EPROM reader first.
