Hi,
My wife bought a 2003 1.4i C3 just over 4 years ago. Initially it gave around 41 mpg, not as much as expected, but as it gets used around town, so not too bad. Over the last year or so, the consumption went down to 39 mpg, but over winter we are now getting 35/36 mpg which is not great.
The car is fully maintained, is free running -no binding brakes-, and Redex has been added at every fill up. The spark plugs were changed at the last service. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best wishes, Bob.

Mmm, have not run a petrol vehicle for many years so am no expert. If the engine is using excess fuel it should show up on an emissions test, failing that a fault code reader, check the list and see if anyone near you has a Lexia. Gone are the days when you could twiddle with the carburettor and distributer.
