It would be foolish to get under any hydraulic supported equipment without secondary safety devices in place, axle stands are essential.

Many deaths have been recorded of people lying under cars or working under raised tipper truck bodies without taking the right precautions.

It's something we sometimes do and I have never had one fall on me but its not worth taking the chance. Drive it up onto some concrete blocks or a ramp made from two pieces of stout timber with the ends on blocks.
