Yes, they can be reused no problem at all John but be careful how you remove them. Don't try to remove the big ends as those have the ballcups mounted in rubber and any attempt to disconnect the ballcups is very likely to tear the rubber and render the linkage useless.
One time I did tear the rubber and as the car was needed as soon as the clutch was dome a temporary repair was done using superglue but it didn't last long...
Disconnect only the small solid ballcup end and leave the rubber end connected... They will fold out of the way and not impede work.
You may well find on a Berlingo, that the large end has a quick release clip - if there is a white button on top, then this is the case - just press the button, and it drops off
I usually use the open end of a 13mm spanner to lever them off. If they're the larger round flat type make sure you lever against the inner ring and not the outer one.
Was going to say care with an open ended spanner (13 or 11 depending on which one) is usually fine.
You'll know when you put them back if there's a concern.
What does tend to wear out and escapes notice are the bushes (item 19) on quite a few PSA cars. Can be done from in the car with use of a cable tie to hold things up while working.

From my experience both short linkages (#3) usually stay in good shape.
The longer linkage (#2) gets deformed at the larger cup end during the years. If you're lucky that will also be reusable.

Sometimes, some of them are on ebay (or a good factor but not many) as pattern parts.
A good used one may be a reasonable alternative if its in good nick and probably better than a unknown "quality" pattern part but that's a chance to take...
Try to avoid the curious "quick shift" ones that are adjustable, if the stock ones are not threaded. These tend to not be quite what they seem.

Occasionally the ones on Ebay are from dealers, old stock etc so its worth searching for "Berlingo gear link" or something instead of a part number on there if possible. Assuming its the Berlingo that is. Don't overlook Partner ones as they are the same.
They might be the same as ZX / 306 ones actually too but I'm not sure on that.

I thought I needed item number 1 as i thought there would be some sort of rubber in the hole. So i ordered a 2nd hand part and it arrived this morning only for it to look the exact same as the 1 i currently have!
can anyone confirm that the long selector shaft (item 1) should have a big empty hole where item 5 sits and that i actually need item 5?
yep you require No. 5 if the rubber ball end has worn away/fallen apart,
also yes the one you bought is as it should be and just sits over the rubber ball on No. 5

thanks. looking at both pics my number 5 looks like it has a 90 degree angle but in the service pic it looks to be straight, any idea why this is? I put my vin in so it should be the correct parts.
