C5 2hdi 138 problems

Good evening
Driving around this week the depollution message came on ,thinking it was the DPF was at fault ,dropped it out and gave it a clean out dried it out and replaced this morning ,
Went out for a spin car spluttered engine seems to be missing a beat ,limp mode back home
Put code reader on faults are
1351 faulty glow plug pre heat relay
0087 fuel rail system pressure to low
1167 fuel pressure signal

Cleared the faults
Car seems to be ok but there must be an underlying problem
So what would cause the faults above and would they trigger car into limp mode
Am I looking for a fuelling problem ,I have checked fuel filter all clean
Ill replace the plugs and check the relay
Will it be the pump or the electrics
Any ideas welcome

If it has a fault code saying low fuel rail pressure I would tend to believe that...

Sounds similar to the symptoms Richard saw with his 1.6HDi:

He changed the fuel filter and the limp home mode hasn't reoccured since although it hasn't been put on a Lexia yet to see what the actual fault codes logged were.

You say you checked the fuel filter was clean - how ? I'm not sure that just looking at it will tell you much. What mileage has the filter done ?
