Some may know, mum and dad decided on a C5.. However, much as I have been poisoned from the First Gen cars, Id heard that later S1.5 cars with what I call C4 front headlights, and Audi rear lamps are a much improoved and more reliable car....
We found one anyway, a 55 plate, 1.6 16v HDi one.. With 119k, and Full History. Ok, it sounded good, and the few pics looked fine. I decided that we couldn't go far wrong with FSH..
So, off we trotted down to Luton!
And we were presented with the following, though I took the pictures today at Mums, the car was virtually like this when we got to it.
So, all looking good. Well, Yes. The service history turned out to be a comprehensive PRINTOUT of every job done!
I was almighty pleased to read a recent clutch and cam belt within the last 20k on both. Theres no clutch judder, lovly smooth take up etc.
Faults? very few actually...
Above, there is a slight flattening on the wasteline Marking on the door...
Above, there is a slight mark in the "Cloud Reflection" if you look hard enough...
and thats about it... Interior is virtually immaculate, un worn and like new..
The biggest task... unfortunally, one of the injector seals has given up and is letting the dreadded coal build up...
Ive got the bits, just need to find the next space to do it now.....
But all in all.. the above, with recent new brakes ALL round, and front disks... £1,850.
Car averaged 53mpg on the way home, 70-80 mph motorway driving..
